Telco Levy Bill Passes

The Telecommunications (Development Levy) Amendment Bill has passed through all stages under Urgency.

MPs completed the second reading at 7.30pm with a vote of 88 to 32 with Labour opposed. They then ground through the committee stages and completed the third reading at 11pm.

The bill passed by 88 to 32 with Labour opposed.

Debate on the first reading of the KiwiSaver Budget Measures Billthen began.

The Border Processing (Arrivals and Departures) Levy Bill is still yet to be passed through all stages under Urgency.
