Baldock: Four-laning SH1 - with cycle lanes for Jeanette!
United Future’s Larry Baldock said today that he was sorry to hear that the Greens oppose the very idea of gradually four-laning State Highway 1, as announced in United Future’s transport policy on Friday.
"I guess the idea of people being able to travel from A to B quickly and safely is a bit outside their purview," Mr Baldock said.
"I hope the next time motorists trying to go anywhere north of the capital are stuck in some horrendous traffic snarl-up, they spare a thought for the Greens.
"If it makes the Greens feel better, United Future would also make sure State Highway 1 has proper cycle lanes.”
