Urgent question lodged on George Hawkins
National Party Deputy Leader Gerry Brownlee has lodged an urgent question in Parliament this afternoon regarding comments made by George Hawkins on Radio New Zealand’s Nine-to-Noon show today.
“It would appear that Mr Hawkins may have breached court suppression orders on a case currently before the courts and we will be asking the Labour Government whether legal action is being contemplated against the Police Minister.
“The Speaker will have to determine whether or not the urgent question may be asked,” says Mr Brownlee.
