What’s your petrol tax for?
National Party Leader Don Brash today launched a billboard campaign overlooking Auckland’s Northern Motorway spelling out the difference between National and Labour when it comes to roading.
“The difference is clear:
“Labour will divvy the petrol tax up for hip-hop tours, welfare bribes, prisoner compo, twilight golf, sing-along courses, taniwha, more bureaucrats, NCEA inquiries, Treaty lawyers, twilight golf and countless other rorts.
“As far as National is concerned, the petrol tax is for the roads.
“New Zealanders are sick and tired of unsafe and congested roads. Under Labour, traffic jams will get longer and slower. National says that is simply not acceptable.
“National will ensure all revenue generated off the roads, is spent on the roads. Only National can get New Zealand moving again,” says Dr Brash.
The billboard was paid for by a group of New Zealanders who do not believe Labour is doing enough for the roads.
