Labour bureaucrats force principals out of jobs
National Party Education spokesman Bill English says Labour bureaucrats are forcing principals out of their jobs.
“Principals have been telling me that the form filling and the paper work have reached unbearable levels, and they’re simply fed up with it.”
Mr English is referring to comments from the Principals’ Federation which says stress levels have become ‘intolerable’. A nationwide survey shows 40% of principals are highly or extremely stressed.
“When dealing with the Education Ministry is listed in the top three causes of stress, something needs to be done to fix it.
“National believes schools and parents should have
more control over their affairs,” says Mr English.
