Prostitution review working group
formed
United Future MP Gordon Copeland today announced the formation of a working group to review the Prostitution Reform Act 2003.
"The group will consider the three areas outlined in the confidence and supply agreement between the Labour-led Government and United Future," said Mr Copeland.
"That will involve addressing problems associated with street soliciting, underage involvement in prostitution, and local authority control over brothel zoning."
The working group will be comprised of Gordon Copeland, Labour MP Marion Hobbs, former United Future MP Larry Baldock, senior officials from the Ministry of Justice and the Department of Internal Affairs, and will report, in due course, to the Minister of Justice Mark Burton.
