Taito Phillip Field placed on leave
Labour Leader Helen Clark said today that following the announcement from the Police Commissioner regarding an investigation into Taito Phillip Field, Labour has placed the MP on leave.
“The MP has been placed on leave by the Labour whips. He will remain on leave until the outcome of the investigation is known.
“At this stage, police are investigating allegations. Allegations in themselves are not proof of wrongdoing.
“Given, however, that these allegations involve Mr Field’s practices as a Member of Parliament, the Parliamentary Labour Party is taking this action at this time,” Helen Clark said.
