NZ First Delivers Healthcare For Young Kiwis
New Zealand first health spokesperson Barbara Stewart has welcomed the increase in this year's Budget for health and is especially pleased about the extra $124 million investment being made in child and youth health.
“Actively working towards the objective of having free primary healthcare for under six year olds is part of the policy programme outlined in New Zealand First’s Confidence and Supply agreement with the Government and I am glad to see that solid steps have been made towards this objective in the Budget,” said Mrs Stewart.
“The funding of a free vaccine for newborn babies to fight against pneumococcal meningitis is another important initiative being funded in this year's Budget.
“New Zealand First will continue to strive towards our objective of free healthcare for all under sixes and primary school-aged children,” said Mrs Stewart.
