Clegg will listen to Hide at his own
peril
ACT leader Rodney Hide’s advice to UK Liberal Democrat leader Nick Clegg not to “overreach himself” in negotiating the formation of a new British Government is heavily ironic, says Labour Auckland Issues spokesperson Phil Twyford.
“Rodney Hide could run a master class in the tail wagging the dog,” Phil Twyford says.
“In the past 18 months, since becoming part of the government with National, he has wreaked havoc in terms of Auckland governance.
“He is now setting up ratepayer-owned assets for privatisation, in Auckland and elsewhere.
“If Nick Clegg paid attention to anything Rodney Hide said for even a second, then British voters would have reason to be very worried.”
