The Labour Party has also confirmed that nominations for the Mana by-election will close Thursday, 9 September.

Nominations for Te Atatu will close on 8 October and nominations for Manurewa will close on 15 October. Nominations for the remaining 19 seats will close on 1 November 2010.

Labour Party President Andrew Little says that the electorate nominations show a good mix of experienced MPs, plus up and coming talent.
