MP to attend 5th International Parliamentary Governance Seminar

New Zealand member of Parliament, Grant Robertson is attending the 5th International Governance Seminar in London from 15 to 26 November 2010 at the invitation of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association UK. The seminar will also include visits to the European Parliament in Brussels and the National Assembly for Wales in Cardiff.

The International Parliamentary Seminar is an annual event and provides an opportunity for Commonwealth parliamentarians to gain a greater understanding of the principles and structures of governance in parliamentary democracies.

Mr Robertson said the seminar was an opportunity to meet with other parliamentarians from around the Commonwealth and discuss principles of governance. “I am particularly interested in seeing, first hand, the European Parliament and the National Assembly for Wales,” Mr Robertson said.
