Tree Cutting Gangs Have No Place in Wellington
Reports of intimidation on seniors in Churton Park and Johnsonville are troubling to Labour List MP based in Ohariu Charles Chauvel.
“Intimidation of this kind is unacceptable. I hope the police can track down the people who are responsible for this”
Chauvel is supporting the appeal by Police to locals that can identify individuals suspected of intimidating local seniors who refuse to take up an offer for cheap tree clipping.
“Obviously, everyone is trying to find a bargain in tough economic times and people are also trying to find ways to make an honest dollar. This kind of behavior eats at the goodwill of Ohariu locals”
