The Taxation (Annual Rates, Returns Filing, and Remedial Matters) Bill completed its first reading and was sent to the Finance and Expenditure Committee by 110 votes to 11 with the Greens, Mana Party and Chris Carter opposing.

The Acting Leader of the House Simon Power moved the House go into Urgency to consider the Video Camera Surveillance (Temporary Measures) Bill and the Sleepover Case Settlement Amendment Bill.
