Evidence Destroys Milkmaid’s Credibility

Evidence Destroys Milkmaid’s Credibility

New evidence released by New Zealand First today reveals Justice Minister Judith Collins used her position to manipulate the Government to help her husband’s company, Oravida, after the Fonterra botulism scare, says New Zealand First Leader Rt Hon Winston Peters.

“To make matters worse the Prime Minister has helped her cover up a serious conflict of interest by a Cabinet Minister."

Mr Peters says he has official documents that show two Cabinet Ministers rushed to do exactly as Oravida asked, including obtaining taxpayer funds to get special help for Ms Collins' husband’s company.

“Following the Fonterra botulism scare she agreed to a scheduled dinner meeting in China with a Chinese border official on behalf of her husband’s company.

“Many other companies were in the same position as Oravida with a cloud hanging over New Zealand milk, but they did not get this same level of help.

“This new evidence shows her fingerprints and DNA all over the Oravida case and it's time the Prime Minister took action - unless he places more value on the political donations the National Party receives from Oravida,” says Mr Peters.

New additional evidence will be released tomorrow.
