Milestone Fast Internet Connection for Te Aroha School

Milestone Fast Internet Connection for Te Aroha School

Te Aroha’s Stanley Avenue School has become the nation’s 1,000th school to be connected by Network for Learning (N4L) to the Government’s fast internet Managed Network and Coromandel MP Scott Simpson couldn’t be happier.

“I’m thrilled that Associate Education Minister, Nikki Kaye, has made a special trip to Te Aroha to visit Stanley Avenue School for this important local and national milestone” said Mr Simpson today.

“I know how much the 277 students at Stanley Avenue will benefit from access to fast broadband and how much it will benefit their studies.

“As a decile 5 primary school, with their own student run television and radio station, this connection will ensure pupils and staff can have all the benefits that come from fast, reliable internet. It is a very significant milestone for the school and Te Aroha.

Mr Simpson said that having schools connected to the Managed Network was part of the Government’s commitment to ensuring students are equipped with the skills and education they need to become successful in employment and in life, no matter where they are in New Zealand.
