Local Government (Auckland Council) Amendment Bill (No 3) – call for submissions

Public submissions are being called for on the Local Government (Auckland Council)

Amendment Bill (No 3). The bill, currently before the Local Government and Environment Committee, would remedy a loophole in current legislation that permits candidates to serve as members on 2 or more Auckland local boards at the same time.

The closing date for submissions is Thursday, 13 August 2015.

The bill can be viewed online at www.legislation.govt.nz or purchased at any Bennetts Government Bookshop.

Submissions should be forwarded by the due date, either online using our website (www.parliament.nz) or in writing to the address below. If a submitter wishes to appear before the committee, they need to state this clearly and provide a name, daytime phone number and email address. Submissions generally become public and are published on our website.
