Media Release - Operation BLOCK

Since the 14th of May 2007 Kaitaia Police have been investigating the Kidnapping and Aggravated Robbery of 56 year Northland Man who was tied up, beaten and robbed in his residential home in the early hours of the morning.

Police enquires have lead them to Whangärei, Auckland and Wellington.

On Thursday the 14th of June 2007 Lower Hutt Police apprehended Terri Lois GAGE who was wanted in connection with the Kidnapping and Aggravated Robbery of the 56 year old Northland man.

Detective Dean GORRIE says that GAGE’S captured was directly assisted by information received from the public and would like to thank them for their help.

Detective GORRIE says that Police still want to speak with Manahi Ranapia BRIGGS who is a 22 year old male originally from the Herekino area.
BRIGGS has had a warrant for his arrest issued in relation to the matter.

During their inquires Police have also identified 54 year old Auckland man Herbert BRADLEY as a person of interest and wish to speak to him in relation to the matter. A warrant for his arrest has also been issued.

Detective Dean GORRIE asks that anybody with any information that may help locating these people please contact him or Detective Sergeant Trevor BEATSON on 09-408-6543 or 027-223-2628. All information will be kept confidential.
