Banks - Heartened By Poll Lead

Auckland City Mayor and Super City candidate John Banks says poll results released by Curia Research are encouraging but there is still a lot of hard work to be done.

Mayor Banks says the poll shows the Mayoralty race for the Greater Auckland Council will be a tight battle.

“The results are heartening but it is no doubt this will be a close and hard fought battle. I am very happy with that because I believe Aucklanders deserve a genuine contest of ideas and experience.”

“No one can expect to stroll into this privileged position as Mayor of a Greater Auckland, too much is at stake.”

Mayor Banks says the results reflect the positive feedback he has received while speaking to Aucklanders across the region.

“I will continue to work hard for the citizens of Greater Auckland from Wellsford to Waiuku as I am committed to being an advocate for them and this wonderful region.
