Parker takes control of Christchurch Mayoralty as Anderton fades

Latest Mayoralty Results - Other Cities In Wellington, Kerry Prendergast is a 93% favourite to be re-elected, her main challenger Celia Wade-Brown is at 6%

In Auckland, Len Brown is 60% likely to win over Auckland Mayor John Banks on 40%. Andrew Williams is 0.01% likely to win.

In Hamilton: Bob Simcock is 97% likely to be re-elected

In Dunedin, Peter Chin is 94% likely to be returned

In Invercargill, Tim Shadbolt is a 95% chance to be re-elected

Other Results In the upcoming Mana by-election, Kris Faafoi is 88% likely to be selected by the Labour Party as their Mana candidate, over Josie Pagani on 11%. Labour is 94% likely to win the by-election.

This Thursday, the Reserve Bank is 97% likely to make no change to the OCR.

MMP is 76% likely to be retained at next year's referendum.

Mortgage rates are likely to reach 6.50% this year but unlikely to go as high as 6.75%.

Rob Pope is 40% likely to be named the next Police Commissioner, with Viv Rickard at 15%. However, iPredict traders give a 45% likelihood that neither Pope or Rickard will be appointed.

In November's Congressional elections, the Democrats are picked to retain control of the Senate but lose control of the House of Representatives.

There is a 28% likelihood that Israel will launch an air strike against Iran before the end of next year.
