Port Nicholson Block Settlement Trust Chairman, Sir Ngatata Love, said the significant contributions made by Sir Archie Taiaroa over many decades will be remembered and acknowledged for many years to come.

Sir Ngatata said he will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege of working alongside him.

“He contributed across all sectors of the community including iwi, hapu, political, commercial and the private sector.

“His dignity, wisdom and guidance were appreciated by all who came into contact with him,” he said.
