News of the vote count for the Hamilton City Council elections will be released first on www.hamilton.co.nz/elections .

The progressive results are expected to be posted on the site tomorrow (Saturday, 9 October) around 2pm and the preliminary results around 7.30pm.

The progressive results are likely to reflect approximately 95 per cent of the votes cast.

The preliminary results will be declared once all votes have been received from those dropped off at the libraries and Municipal Building.

The official result declaration is expected to be made no later than Wednesday, 13 October 2010, once all special votes have been verified by the Hamilton City Electoral Registrar. This will be the official result and will be posted on the Elections webpage.
