The Power of Public Finance

Overseas expert warns against cuts to public services and asset sales

The Public Service Association (PSA) is delighted to announce the visit to New Zealand of David Hall, Director of the Public Services International Research Unit (PSIRU) at the University of Greenwich in London.

David Hall is an internationally recognised expert in public sector investment, privatisation, asset sales and public private partnerships. He will be in New Zealand from 9th -15th Feb for a series of lectures and debates based on his paper ‘Why we need public spending’.

“This is a very timely and important visit. Privatisation is clearly on the government’s agenda and a full debate is needed on the value of public services and the real cost of assets sales and public-private partnerships,” says PSA National Secretary Brenda Pilott.

David Hall’s visit is sponsored by the PSA.
