Jamie Whyte won the minor leaders debate

Jamie Whyte won the minor leaders debate

Press release: ACT New Zealand
August 9, 2014. 2:30pm

By calling out the minor party leaders as communists over the sale of the Lockinver Station, Jamie Whyte won yesterday's minor leaders' debate on The Nation.

Jamie Whyte pointed out the farm is not "our land" - it is private property owned by the Stevenson family. Every farmer in the country will be supporting Dr Whyte's stand in favour of private property rights.

Jamie also showed he is the only leader in favour of lower taxes, less red tape, and a positive plan to grow the economy by reducing company tax to 12.5%.

Jamie won the debate over three strikes as the other leaders came out in favour of burglars!

Jamie stuck to his stand on equality before the law and let the other leaders hang themselves with calls to abolish prisons.

ACT supporters are very pleased with Dr Whyte's peformance.
