In another superb lecture by Dr. Christopher Longhurst under the auspices of the St Andrew's Trust for the Study of Religion and Society, he looks at how Islam understands the notion of beauty, and represents itself aesthetically through the arts, particularly in letters and sounds, and in architecture.
This extended-length lecture is a no-charge précis of an upcoming lecture-series hosted by Victoria University and titled: “Beauty in Islam: Philosophical, theological and practical explorations.”
