Mr. Douglas Kemsley has been appointed Chairman of Maxnet (Maximum Internet Ltd), the successful NZ owned Internet Service Provider(ISP).

Mr. Kemsley was a founding member of the team that established CA-Systems : the NZ company that developed a full suite of software for chartered accounting firms. He worked with CA-Systems from its start-up, the successful implementation of its software, and through to its subsequent sale to the Australian company MYOB.

Commenting on his involvement with Maxnet, where he has also become the cornerstone shareholder, Mr. Kemsley said “I saw in Maxnet an opportunity to use my experience to assist the company move to its next stage of growth. The people and ideas behind Maxnet impressed me. They have enabled the company to survive and prosper in the competitive ISP market. I believe that outside capital and experienced corporate governance can make Maxnet even more competitive.”
