TrustPower Launches Appliance Shopping Website

TrustPower has launched a new website, located at www.applianceshopper.co.nz, listing thousands of products from New Zealand's leading electrical retailers. The website provides an easy way to check available products, pricing, special offers and even recommendations from other product users.

TrustPower Energy Sales Manager Chris O'Hara says the company developed the website in response to feedback from customers, who indicated that they would welcome a service that would assist them to make good choices and get great deals on electrical appliances.

"We conduct regular customer surveys, which have proven extremely valuable in terms of helping us develop our services to meet customer expectations. This new initiative is just another step in our quest to be more than just another electricity retailer, and to maintain our reputations as delivering the best customer service in our industry."

Information on the site will be updated as frequently as hourly or weekly, depending upon retailer changes and specials, says Market Manager Tania Champion, and visitors will have the opportunity to receive update alerts and to nominate other retailers to be added to the site and provide even further choice.

"Sites that are not kept up to date soon loose their credibility and usefulness, and we know visitors to the site will want the latest information available. The information available from the site also includes links to buying guides at Consumer On Line, and power saving tips and consumption rating information that will help consumers better manage their power consumption and costs."

TrustPower is providing the service, which is available to anyone with access to the internet, on a non profit basis.

As part of the launch, retailer Noel Leeming is offering TrustPower customers special offers on some whiteware as well as plasma and LCD television products.

Visitors to the site over the next month will be able to enter a draw for free power*
