Top International Speaker Presenting at Scale-Up Manufacturing Workshop
NZBIO has just confirmed US-based Quality Risk Management Consultant, Robert Chew will be flying into Auckland to exclusively present at our scale-up manufacturing workshop taking place in Auckland, 24 February 2011.
Robert has provided quality risk management consulting to some of the largest pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies in the world. He has worked for organisations including Johnson & Johnson, Merck & Co, Immunex, Bayer and Genentech. He was ISPE’s (International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering) 2008 Member of the Year.

NZBIO 2011 Conference Satellite Event - Commercialising Technology through Licensing Workshop
NZBIO is pleased to announce that the workshop "Commercialising Technology through Licensing" will be run as a satellite event at the NZBIO 2011 Conference. The event will be organised to run on Thursday 24 & Friday 24 March at the Langham Hotel, Auckland.
Do you want to learn how to extract the best value from a technology product or process that your company is developing? Attend this workshop and gain insights from the experts on what considerations should be taken into account when formulating a licensing strategy for extracting value from innovation. Listen to senior partners from James & Wells which has taken out the 2009 and 2010 NZ Law Awards for Intellectual Property Law.

NZBIO 2011 Conference

Expressions of Interest for Investment Workshop at NZBIO 2011
Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development, a council controlled organisation,will be hosting a satellite event at the NZBIO Conference in March 2011 in collaboration with NZBIO.
The purpose of the event is to provide New Zealand companies with the opportunity to seek capital investment from an international audience, as well as providing an overview on recent trends in capital investment, both in New Zealand and overseas.

We are now seeking expressions of interest from companies wanting to ‘pitch’ to the investor audience at the event. A total of 10 companies will be given the opportunity.

US-NZ Health Innovation Symposium
This Symposium provides the opportunity to profile leading research in New Zealand and the USA across four health innovation themes, to build new science collaborations between the two countries, and to look to ways these new ideas can be delivered into our health care systems, communities and homes.
The symposium is supported by New Zealand's Ministry of Science and Innovation.
It is also held in association with the US-NZ Knowledge Network.
