Annan Says Bali Bombers Must Face Justice
Condemning Deadly Terror Blasts In Bali, Annan Says Those Responsible Must Face Justice
United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan strongly condemned today's bombings in Bali and urged the Indonesian authorities to find and prosecute those responsible.
At least twenty people were reportedly killed as a result of the blasts, and scores of others were injured.
A spokesman for Mr. Annan issued a statement in New York urging the Indonesian authorities "to act promptly in identifying and bringing the perpetrators of this cowardly attack to justice."
The Secretary-General "is dismayed that Bali has yet again been the scene of terrorist outrage almost three years after the attacks of October 2002," the spokesman said.
