* 9/11: Press For Truth* is a powerful new documentary that chronicles the battle for truth and accountability waged by the families of 9/11 victims against the deception and stonewalling of the Bush administration. The film will premiere on Thursday, September 7, 2006, at the Two Boots Pioneer Theater at 155 East Third Street in New York City, with additional screenings in major cities across the country including Los Angeles, Oakland, Chicago, Washington, DC, Philadelphia, Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, Santa Barbara, Ventura, San Luis Obispo, Culver City, and St. Paul.

A story of the fight for truth by those closest to the tragedy, and a scathing critique of the mainstream media, which refuses to connect the dots, *9/11: Press For Truth* distinguishes itself from a crowded field of documentaries offering conspiracy narratives and mind-numbing replays of the catastrophic images of the day. Directed by Ray Nowosielski, *9/11: Press For Truth* is an unblinking examination of the failure of the 9/11 Commission and the press to adequately address many troubling questions that still haunt the families, five years after that tragic day. *9/11: Press For Truth* features exclusive interviews with the families of 9/11 victims, including the “Jersey Girls” and 9/11 researcher Paul Thompson, author of “The Terror Timeline", which pieces together stories from over 7000 media reports about 9/11. In the film, Thompson fills in the gaps of mainstream media coverage, presenting little-known published reports that, woven together, put the lie to the “official story” of 9/11.

Polls now show that a majority of Americans support a new investigation. “Once again,” says producer Kyle Hence, “the 9/11 families will play a crucial role in galvanizing the public’s will to confront a combative administration, a pliant Congress and an apathetic media corps that has studiously avoided dealing with countervailing facts, inconvenient evidence and excessive secrecy. The message these families bring must be heard, loud and clear. They deserve answers.”

A lobbying campaign calling for a new investigation will be launched on September 5th, the day of DVD release, and continue into the week of September 11th, during which every member of Congress will receive a copy of the documentary.
