The winter eradication programme involves aerial operations every 21 – 28 days between June and September across 5 small winter areas covering a total area of less than 900 hectares.

As a guide if the operation is completed today (Monday 4 August) it is expected that Waikumete and Riverpark areas will be treated from 7am followed by Meola Creek. There will be no spraying during 8am to 9am when most children travel to school. Aerial operations in Hobsonville and Ranui will be after 9am and all spraying should finish by 12 noon.
