Calling All Community Groups In Hutt City

NEWS RELEASE from Hutt City Council

11 November 2003

CALLING ALL COMMUNITY GROUPS IN HUTT CITY

Community Development, Hutt City Council has started working on next years Hutt City Community Group Directory. Entries are wanted for all community groups in Hutt City. This valuable resource has a listing of over 500 community groups from Adult Education to Youth Support, Community Arts to Disability Services.

"It is important the information contained in the Directory is accurate and up-to-date and we ask community groups to check current entry details and send us any changes. The process to do this is very easy and should only take a couple of minutes," said Community Information Officer, Missy Lee.

The deadline to have entries into Community Development for inclusion in next year's directory is 4pm, Friday 28 November 2003.

A free copy of the 2004 Hutt City Community Group Directory will be provided to all groups listed. Groups are also encouraged to go on the mailing list to receive Community Development Matters, the quarterly newsletter.

"The newsletter is another great resource that provides useful information on training, funding, all sorts of activities and local events" says Missy Lee.

To receive a directory entry form, simply phone Community Development on 570 6644 or email community.development@huttcity.govt.nz . Changes can also be made on-line at: www.huttcity.info/council/services/community.
