School’s out for your African safari

School’s out for your African safari

Auckland Zoo’s putting the call out to all wildlife-loving kids to roar on in these September holidays for an African Safari with Paddle pop Lion and the mad but brilliant Nutty Professor!

It’s such an exciting time in Pridelands that Paddle pop Lion has decided to conduct daily ‘safaris’ and test your knowledge of the wildlife to be found there and you might just be surprised about who you do discover on this adventure-filled safari!

Collect your African Safari trail and answer the clues to crack the Nutty Professor’s code. While you’re looking for the answers, there’s a good chance you’ll come across our six young lion cubs playing at Lion Hill, who can now regularly be seen wrestling under the watchful eye of their mums, dad, uncle and aunty.

The Safari Show roars into Lion’s Plaza (next to Lion Hill) everyday at 11.30am and 1pm. The Nutty Professor, who describes himself as a “world expert on African wildlife”, has much to tell you and games and quizzes for everyone to take part in. Paddle pop Lion will also be assisting, and there’ll be great spot prizes to be won including Streets ice-cream vouchers to redeem at Darwin’s café, tickets to Little Red Riding Hood (showing at the Bruce Mason Centre) as well as passes to the Kids’ Fair at the Auckland Showgrounds. As an extra special bonus, you can also meet SpongeBob Square Pants every day during the first week of the holidays between 10am and 1pm.

When you complete your trail and crack the code, you can collect your treat and enter our Daily Prize Draw. There are 16 awesome daily prize packs to be won that include videos from Blockbuster Video, passes to Lollipops Playland and Butterfly Creek, Wildzone Gift vouchers and lots of Paddle pop goodies.
