Hutt City Libraries Photo Competition
More than $1000 of camera equipment is up for grabs in a photo competition being run by Hutt City Libraries and supported by Hutt News and Hutt Cameras of Queens Drive, Lower Hutt. The competition started on 17 December and close at 5pm on 28 January 2005.
Community Libraries Manager Helen Naismith says "Over summer many of us will get a chance to 'escape to your place' and Hutt City Libraries is often part of this. Whether it is a book for the kids, the latest hot pick or DVD, the Libraries will help you to escape".
The theme of the competition is 'escape to your place'.
"We want people to explore this theme of Libraries at 'your place" said Helen Naismith.
"The Libraries have many great services and by using a competition we can get some really great images and get to know where the Libraries are taking people."
Hutt News is supporting the competition and Hutt Cameras are providing prizes.
Entrants must live or work in Hutt City and photographs must be taken within the boundaries of Hutt City.
Photographers under the age of 14 can enter a special category to win separate prizes.
Entry forms are available from all eight Hutt City Libraries. Call 5706633 for the location of your nearest library.
Entries should be marked: Attn: Helen Naismith, Hutt City Libraries, PO Box 30037, Lower Hutt. They can be dropped of at any Hutt City Library or posted.
