Summer Pools Open on 5 November

Summer is nearly here and it’s time to get out of the house, grab your togs and submerge yourself in one of the Hutt City Council’s three Summer Pools.

Located at Marine Parade in Eastbourne, Udy Street, Petone, and Moohan Street in Wainuiomata, the summer pools provide an excellent opportunity to enjoy the outdoors in a relaxing environment.

Wainuiomata Pool is the first pool to open on Saturday 5 November followed by Eastbourne Pool on Saturday 12 November and McKenzie Pool on Saturday 19 November.

Both Eastbourne and McKenzie pools are open from 11:00am on weekends (12 noon weekdays) until 6:00pm and Wainuiomata Pool is open from 9:00am to 7:00pm on Saturdays and to 6:00pm on Sundays.

For week day opening times at Wainuiomata Pool visit the Hutt City Council website at www.huttcity.info/pools or pick a timetable from the pool.

Extended opening hours are available from 19 December at each pool.

With aqua toys, toddlers’ pools and BBQ areas to add to the fun, the Summer Pools provide a great swimming experience. The Council pools are good value too with full-day entry prices starting at $1.50 for the under-16s. A new special student rate for tertiary students of $2.00 is now available with the production of a current ID card.

Each pool opens with a Push Play Opening Day with free pool entry and lots of fun and excitement for the whole family.

To add to the fun atmosphere, a series of Summer Pool events have been planned over the school holidays including the return of the popular Twist’n by Pool series featuring music and games poolside.
