CMJ traffic bulletin: Saturday 5 November until Thursday 10 November
Transit New Zealand would like to advise motorists of proposed closures for work on the Central Motorway Junction upgrade over the next week.

Stage 2
Full motorway closures:
Sunday 6 until
Thursday 10 November – CLOSED – overnight from 9pm until
5.30am the following morning:
- Southern Motorway
(SH1) southbound between Cook St off-ramp and Hobson St
on-ramp
- Southern Motorway (SH1) northbound
between Nelson St off-ramp and Wellington St
on-ramp
Sunday 06 November – CLOSED – overnight from 11pm
until 5.30am the following morning:
- Southern
Motorway (SH1) northbound between Symonds/Port/Wellesley
off-ramp and Wellington St on-ramp

During these times motorists are requested to follow the signposted detours while the closures are in operation.
Transit New Zealand regrets any inconvenience caused.
In the event of inclement weather, the closures will be postponed to the next fine evening.
The CMJ Project
Stage 1 of Transit’s
Central Motorway Junction upgrade project, completed in
January 2005, covers the section of motorway between the
Upper Queen St over-bridge and Gillies Ave on- and
off-ramps.

Stage 2 of Transit’s Central Motorway Junction upgrade project extends from Bond St on the Northwestern Motorway (SH16) to the interface with CMJ Stage 1 near Symonds St and from Cook St on the Southern Motorway (SH1) to Symonds St.
