Views sought on proposed library for Flat Bush
Manukau City Council is currently investigating proposals for the development of a library and cultural centre for Flat Bush, which it is hoped will inspire residents and bring energy to the town centre.
The concept is currently in the early consultation stages. If the project goes ahead, residents from Flat Bush and the surrounding area would be able to enjoy live performances and exhibitions, experience everything the new library has to offer or book space for their own meetings or events, right on their door step.
Following initial community consultation, Manukau City Council and architects Jasmax have developed draft plans for the centre and are keen to hear what people who might use such a facility think of the proposal.
Manukau City Council extends an open invitation to a public workshop to be held at at Baverstock School, 21 Baverstock Road, Flat Bush on Wednesday 15 February from 6.30pm, where the concept plan will be presented for discussion. Children are welcome.
