Fanshawe Street works may cause delays

27 February 2006

Fanshawe Street works may cause delays

Road works on Fanshawe Street may cause delays for some motorists leaving Auckland's CBD tonight.

Resurfacing works along Fanshawe Street began last night and will continue until mid March 2006 (weather permitting).

The work has reduced Fanshawe Street to two lanes in each direction for all traffic between 7.30pm and 6am.

Where possible, Auckland City asks motorists to consider alternative forms of transport such as buses or ferries, or alternative routes.

Alternative routes:

* For access from the motorway consider Cook Street and Shelly Beach Road exits

* For access to the motorway use Wellington Street or Curran Street exits

Auckland City thanks motorists for their co-operation during the work.
