Option3 to deliver petition to Regional Land Transport Committee

Option3 will deliver 2000 signed postcards calling for Wellington region decision makers to implement Option3 on the Western Corridor. The postcards will be in addition to 1000 cards presented to the Regional Council in March.

There are now 3000 expressions of support from Wellington and Kapiti residents wanting better rail services, technological innovations and smart planning on the Western Corridor  that work together to remove the need for unaffordable new roads like Transmission Gully.

Option3 supporters will melt a giant ice cube outside the Regional Council chambers as Committee members make a decision on whether to agree with the Hearing Committee's endorsement of Transmission Gully.

The melting ice cube will draw attention to inconsistencies between the Council's support for increasing car-dependency, and their commitment to reducing CO2 emission which cause climate change.
