Pelorus Trust Fireshow Returns 1 July
Pelorus Trust Fireshow Returns 1 July
One of Hutt
City’s most popular events returns to light up the skies
over Petone Foreshore on Saturday 1 July at 7:30pm
The Pelorus Trust Fireshow is one of Hutt City’s iconic events and attracts over 30,000 spectators from around the region. The event provides an excellent way to shake off the mid-winter blues and is timed so that the whole family can enjoy the show.
The Fireshow is again being managed by Wellington company Event Pro Ltd and has been designed by award winning fireworks maestro Robert McDermott.
The Pelorus Trust Fireshow starts at 7:30pm and will run for about 15 minutes to a soundtrack broadcast on the Classic Hits 90FM radio station. Pre-show entertainment is planned along the Foreshore from 6pm.
The best vantage points to view the fireworks are the Petone Foreshore and surrounding areas. Boating spectators looking for a good viewing spot are asked to keep 300m away from the wharf, keep their boat speed to a maximum of five knots and ensure they have sufficient life jackets on board.
Car parking is available in designated car parks on the streets of Petone and Seaview. Hutt City Council parking wardens will be on duty ensuring cars are parked legally. Please note no parking is allowed on painted or centre raised mediums.
Metlink offers plenty of easy options to get to the Pelorus Trust Fireshow using public transport. For timetable and route details please call Metlink on 0800 801 700 or visit www.metlink.org.nz. Ordinary fares will apply.
In case of bad weather the Fireshow will be postponed to Sunday 2 April at 7.30pm. Listen to Classic Hits or Newstalk ZB for further details or phone Hutt City Council on 570 6666.
