Busway traffic bulletin: Saturday 8 July to Friday 14 July

Transit New Zealand advises motorists of proposed closures for work on State Highway 1 for the construction of the Northern Busway over the next week (weather permitting).

Sun 9 July/Mon 10 July/ Tues 11 July/ Wed 12 July/ Thurs 13 July
Esmonde Rd
eastbound between Barry’s Point Rd and Burns Ave – CLOSED – overnight from 9pm until 5am for the demolition of the old Shoal Bay Bridge:
- As part of this closure the left turn into Esmonde Rd from Barry’s Point Rd will be closed at these times.
- Motorists to follow sign-posted detour from Barry’s Point Rd, along Anzac Rd and into Lake Rd to access Takapuna and Devonport

Sun 9 July
Northcote Rd
SH1 southbound on-ramp – CLOSED – overnight from 9pm until 5am for drainage works:
- This is a contingency closure which will only be required if work has been delayed.
- Motorists to use Esmonde Rd or Tristram Ave southbound motorway on-ramps as alternatives.

Thurs 13 July
Northcote Rd
westbound between Taharoto Rd and the southbound motorway on-ramp – CLOSED – overnight from 9pm until 5am for road repairs:
- Eastbound traffic on Northcote Rd will still be able to access the southbound on-ramp.

Sun 9 July/Mon 10 July/ Tues 11 July/ Wed 12 July
Tristram Ave
southbound motorway on-ramp – CLOSED – overnight from 9pm until 5am for temporary barrier movements and road marking:
- Motorists to use Constellation Dr or Esmonde Rd southbound on-ramps as alternatives

Wed 12 July and Thurs 13 July
Tristram Ave
southbound motorway off-ramp – CLOSED – overnight from 9pm until 5am to allow for temporary barrier movements and road marking:
- Motorists to use Constellation Dr or Northcote Rd southbound off-ramps as alternatives.
