Tranz Metro services return to normal from Saturday 08 July
ONTRACK and the RMTU have confirmed today a new agreement for rail maintenance staff.
As a result Tranz Metro, operator of Wellington commuter rail services, announced today that as of Saturday 8 July all operations would return to normal timetables.
The 24 hour delay in returning to normal services is due to the need to significantly alter staff rosters which had already been finalised and advised on the basis of the interim timetable.
Standard weekend timetables will apply Saturday and Sunday, while from Monday 10 July normal weekday timetables will apply on all lines.
