Busway Traffic Bulletin: Friday 13 October To Friday 20 October

Transit New Zealand advises motorists of next week’s proposed closures for work on State Highway 1 for Northern Busway construction (weather permitting).

Friday 13 – Thursday 19 October
ESMONDE RD
Southbound on-ramp from Esmonde Rd to SH1 – CLOSED – overnight from 9pm until 5am the following morning to allow for connection of the new southbound on-ramp.
• Note that on Sunday 15 October the southbound on-ramp will also be closed from 4am until 8am.
• Motorists are advised to follow the diversion via Onewa Rd on-ramp.

Sunday 15 and Monday 16 October
NORTHCOTE RD& ONEWA RD
All SH1 Motorway lanes southbound between Northcote Rd and Onewa Rd – CLOSED - overnight from 10pm until 5am the following morning to allow for connection of the new southbound on-ramp.
• As part of this closure the Northcote Rd SH1 southbound on-ramp will be closed from 9pm on the same nights.
• If unforeseen circumstances prevent work at the above time, the closures will be on 17 - 19 October.
• Motorists are advised to follow the diversion via Onewa Rd on-ramp.

Sunday 15 – Thursday 19 October
ESMONDE RD
Barrys Point Rd southbound between Des Swann Dr and Esmonde Rd – CLOSED – overnight from 9pm until 5am the following morning to allow tie-in works for the new intersection alignment.
Motorists are advised to follow the sign posted diversion route.

Monday 16 & Tuesday 17 October
TRISTRAM AVE
Southbound on-ramp from Tristram Ave to SH1 – CLOSED – overnight from 7.45pm until 5am the following morning for placement of beams on the new viaduct.
• If unforeseen circumstances prevent work at the above time, the closures will be on 18 & 19 October.
• Motorists are advised to follow the diversion via Northcote Rd on-ramp or Onewa Rd on-ramp.

Tuesday 17 – Thursday 19 October
NORTHCOTE RD
Southbound off-ramp from SH1 to Northcote Rd– CLOSED – overnight from 9pmuntil 5amthe following morning for guard rail construction.
• This closure will not take place if the full southbound closure listed above is required.
• Motorists are advised to follow the diversion via Onewa Rd off-ramp.
