Busway traffic bulletin: Saturday 21 October to Friday 27 October

Transit New Zealand advises motorists of next week’s proposed closures for work on State Highway 1 for Northern Busway construction (weather permitting).

Tuesday 24 October
AKORANGA DR & ESMONDE RD
Akoranga Dr eastbound link to Esmonde Rd – CLOSED – overnight from 9pm until 5am the following morning for the removal of old line markings.
* If unforeseen circumstances prevent work at the above time, the closure will be on 25 October.
* Motorists are advised to follow the diversion via Northcote Rd.

Tuesday 24 October
TRISTRAM AVE
Southbound off-ramp from SH1 to Tristram Ave – CLOSED – overnight from 7.45pm until 5am the following morning for placement of beams on the new viaduct.
* If unforeseen circumstances prevent work at the above time, the closure will be on 25 or 26 October.
* Motorists are advised to follow the diversion via Constellation Dr off-ramp or Northcote Rd off-ramp.

Tuesday 24 and Wednesday 25 October
CONSTELLATION DR & TRISTRAM AVE
All SH1 Motorway lanes southbound between Constellation Dr and Tristram Ave –CLOSED - overnight from 9pm until 5am the following morning to allow for paving works.
* As part of this closure the Constellation Dr SH1 southbound on-ramp will be closed at the same times.
* If unforeseen circumstances prevent work at the above time, the closure will be on 26 October.
* Motorists are advised to follow the diversion via Tristram Ave on-ramp.

Tuesday 24 – Thursday 26 October
ESMONDE RD
Northbound off-ramp from SH1 to Esmonde Rd– CLOSED – overnight from 9pm until 5am the following morning to allow for the removal of old lane markings.
* Motorists are advised to follow the diversion via Northcote Rd off-ramp.

Tuesday 24 – Thursday 26 October
ESMONDE RD
Esmonde Rd westbound between Lake Rd & Barrys Point Rd – CLOSED – overnight from 9pm until 5am the following morning for demolition works on Shoal Bay Bridge.
* Motorists are advised to follow the diversion via Barrys Point Rd.

Tuesday 24 – Thursday 26 October
BARRYS POINT RD
Barrys Point Rd southbound between Des Swann Dr & Esmonde Rd – CLOSED – overnight from 9pm until 5am the following morning to connect the new intersection alignment.
* Motorists are advised to follow the diversion via Burns Ave.

Wednesday 25 and Thursday 26 October
ESMONDE RD
Southbound on-ramp from Esmonde Rd to SHI – CLOSED – overnight from 9pm until 5am the following morning for the removal of old line markings.
* Motorists are advised to follow the diversion via Onewa Rd on-ramp.

Wednesday 25 and Thursday 26 October
WAIRAU RD
Wairau Rd between Porana Rd and Forrest Hill Rd – CLOSED – overnight from 9pm until 5am the following morning for works on the Wairau Rd Bridge.
* Motorists are advised to follow the diversion via Forrest Hill Rd.

Road users are requested to use the sign posted detours whilst the closures are in operation.
