Creation V Evolution Debate
Creation V Evolution Debate.
Following the live debate on ZB this week… an ever increasing world controversy is developing over ‘Intelligent Design’ and ‘Scientific Creationism’ questioning established theories of evolution. You are invited this public forum and hear two passionate academics address this controversial topic. This would be a great opportunity for you to present these issues to the community:
Can Creationists call their work
science?
What story does the fossil record tell us.
Evolution or Creation?
How did life originate?
What
about mutations?
Are we still evolving?
Should an
alternative theory be taught along side the theory of
Evolution?
Professor Paul Rainey – Auckland
University Ecology and Evolution Group.
Paul’s fields of interest are in the evolutionary traits of organs and their environment, ecology and evolution, microbiology, genetics and experimental evolution. Paul considers, “creation science as an oxymoron.” Paul has worked ( up until recently ) with Richard Dawkins from Cambridge university.
John Mackay International Director of
Creation Research.
John has been a science teacher, lectured in geology at the tertiary level. He is an ardent biblical creationist who believes in a young earth and that the fossil record supports is view. He has debated this topic with professors from Harvard and Cambridge, and in universities all over t he world, sometimes debating four evolutionary professors at a time (Saskatchewan University). He was recently interviewed on BBC Hard Questions programme, with and estimated audience of 220million people.
There will be opportunity for questions from the floor.
