CMJ Traffic Bulletin: Sunday 28 January Until Thursday 1 February

Transit New Zealand would like to advise motorists of proposed closures for work on the Central Motorway Junction upgrade over the next week.

CMJ Stage 2

Full motorway closures:

Wednesday 31 January and Thursday 1 February – CLOSED – overnight from 9.30pm until 5am the following morning:

Southern Motorway (SH1) between Cook St off-ramp and Hobson St on-ramp southbound

Tuesday 30 January – CLOSED – overnight from 9.30pm until 5am on Wednesday:

Southern Motorway (SH1) between Fanshawe St off-ramp and Hobson St on-ramp southbound

Ramp and link closures:

Tuesday 30 January until 1 February – CLOSED – overnight from 9.30pm until 5am the following morning:

Khyber Pass on-ramp to Southern Motorway (SH1) southbound

Tuesday 30 and Wednesday 31 January – CLOSED – overnight from 12.30am until 5.30am the following morning:

Hobson St on-ramp to Southern Motorway (SH1) southbound

Thursday 1 February – CLOSED – overnight from 9pm until 5am on Friday:

Northwestern Motorway (SH16) eastbound link to Northern Motorway (SH1) northbound

Northwestern Motorway (SH16) eastbound to Nelson St off-ramp

Northwestern Motorway (SH16) westbound to Western Springs off-ramp

Hobson St on-ramp to Northwestern Motorway (SH16) westbound

Tuesday 30 January until Thursday 1 February – CLOSED – overnight from 10pm until 5am the following morning:

Southern Motorway (SH1) northbound link to Northwestern Motorway (SH16) westbound

Tuesday 30 and Wednesday 31 January – CLOSED – overnight from 8.30pm until 5am the following morning:

Newton Rd on-ramp to Northwestern Motorway (SH16) westbound

Wednesday 31 January – CLOSED – overnight from 9pm until 5am on Thursday:

Northwestern Motorway (SH16) eastbound links to Port and Southern Motorway (SH1) southbound

During these times motorists are requested to follow the signposted detours while the closures are in operation.

Transit New Zealand regrets any inconvenience caused.

In the event of inclement weather, the closures will be postponed to the next fine evening.
