Auckland business matches food-in-schools offer

Raisins are now on the lunch box menu for John Key’s Food-in-Schools initiative working through KidsCan.

Following the offer last week by Tasti of 100,000 muesli bars, James Crisp has matched the offer with Cinderella Raisins.

Evan Grant, Sales & Marketing Manager of James Crisp Ltd, said they were thrilled to hear from John Key this morning thanking James Crisp for the offer of 100,000 boxes of raisins.

“We’re a kiwi-owned and operated business with 29 staff. As a local business we understand that an investment in our kids is also an investment in our own future,” says Mr Grant.

“I’d urge other community minded companies to take up National’s challenge.

“Little boxes of Cinderella Raisins have been a favourite in Kiwi lunch boxes for generations, so we’re delighted to be part of this initiative. If one of our brands can provide Kiwi kids – our future - with what they need for lunch, then we’re very happy to participate.”

“It’s a great idea to get business involved in this tangible and easy to access way,” said Mr Grant.
