Blues back at Blockhouse Bay
Blues back at Blockhouse Bay
Blues is back at Blockhouse Bay, with the Midge Marsden Band set to perform a soulful set with help from the Grant Winterburn Experience on 2 March.
The concert is part of Auckland City Council’s free Music in Parks series and runs from 6pm to 9.30pm at Blockhouse Bay Beach Reserve.
Midge Marsden remains the number one rhythm and blues artist in New Zealand today. The singer and blues harp maestro has had a career spanning more than four decades and performed with some of the world’s best musicians.
The Grant Winterburn Experience is another must-see. As Australasia’s leading exponent of Hammond organ jazz, Grant Winterburn recreates the passion of 1960s jazz and funk music.
