Ski Website Relaunched

Ski Website Relaunched

Christchurch International Airport Ltd has re-launched its consumer ski website, skidealsnz.com, for the coming 2007 ski season. This new-look site has been developed to grow the South Island ski market further, and features more product, greater ski information and excellent ski deals.

"We see it as part of our role to grow and assist the South Island ski tourism market," says Gareth Owen, Manager Marketing and Business Development. "The skidealsnz.com website provides international and local skiers alike with all the information they need on skiing in the South Island, and it features discounted travel and accommodation packages to get them here."

The website has been designed to capture a wide range of destination and booking information into a streamlined user-friendly travel portal, utilising the latest in database, mapping and affiliate software. Much research and development has gone into the redesign of the skidealsnz.com website to ensure that it is user-friendly and informative for skiers and snowboarders wanting to travel to the South Island. This informative website reflects the airport's position as the gateway for the best of the South Island.

The site's developer, Delwyn O'Connor from Cabbage Tree Creative, states "the ski market is incredibly competitive and getting the right style and functionality is core to the site's success. We're certainly proud of the result, and as one of our largest and best sites yet, it is already placed in the top ten of Google searches on Ski New Zealand."

The skidealsnz.com website predominantly features ski information, including where to ski, how to get there and where to stay, as well as flexible, tailor-made ski packages and a booking facility. South Island mountain snow reports are also updated regularly and the website features several ski mountains' webcams.
