CMJ Traffic Bulletin

Transit New Zealand would like to advise motorists of proposed closures on the Central Motorway Junction over the next week for installation of Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS) and repair work.

Full motorway closures:

Sunday 11 March – CLOSED – overnight from 10.30pm until 5.30am on Monday for installation of signage:

·        Southern Motorway (SH1) northbound between Symonds/Port/Wellesley off-ramp and Wellington St on-ramp

Ramp and link closures:

Sunday 11 March – CLOSED – overnight from 10.30pm until 5.30am on Monday for installation of signage:

·        Southern Motorway (SH1) to Nelson St off-ramp citybound

Sunday 11 March – CLOSED – overnight from 8.30pm until 5am on Monday for installation of electronic sensors in the road surface:

·        Western Springs on-ramp to Northwestern Motorway (SH16) eastbound

Sunday 11 March – CLOSED – overnight from 9pm until 5am on Monday for modification of signage and gantries:

·        Northwestern Motorway (SH16) to Newton Rd off-ramp eastbound
 

Sunday 11 until Thursday 15 March – CLOSED – overnight from 10pm until 5.30am the following morning for installation of signage:

·        Southern Motorway (SH1) northbound link to Northwestern Motorway (SH16) westbound

Sunday 11 and Monday 12 March – CLOSED – overnight from 10.30pm until 5am the following morning for installation of signage:

·        Northwestern Motorway (SH16) to St Lukes off-ramp westbound
 

Monday 12 until Thursday 15 March – CLOSED – overnight from 9pm until 5am the following morning for installation of signage:

·        Port to Northwestern Motorway (SH16) westbound and Port to North northbound

Monday 12 until Thursday 15 March – CLOSED – overnight from 9pm until 5am the following morning for repair work:

·        Northwestern (SH16) eastbound off-ramp to Northern Motorway (SH1) northbound

·        Northwestern  Motorway (SH16)  eastbound off-ramp to Nelson Street

During these times motorists are requested to follow the signposted detours while the closures are in operation.

Transit New Zealand regrets any inconvenience caused.

In the event of inclement weather, the closures will be postponed to the next fine evening.
