Rock on with North Shore Libraries

North Shore City media release

Rock on with North Shore Libraries

May 7, 2007

LIBEL is back and set to be bigger and better in 2007.

Organised by North Shore Libraries, this free youth event hosted by MC and comedian Terry Williams will feature live bands Quarter2, Where’s Gary’s Duvet and the Liquorice Twists, with performances by the Allstar Cheerleaders.

North Shore City librarian, Katie Preston, says LIBEL 07 is a chance to get your hands on the fantastic LIBEL library card.

“The new card is an alternative to the existing library card for young members of the library,” she says.

“If you swap your old card for a new one on the day you’ll receive a free CD reserve the next time you visit one of our seven libraries.”

There will also be a free sausage sizzle, the opportunity to view the Ranfurly Shield and a prize draw for two MP3 players.

LIBEL 07 will be held on Saturday, May 26 at ActivZone in Downing St, Glenfield from 4pm to 7pm.
